Hi! My name is Jayhee An and I am a second year MPH student studying Environmental Health Sciences at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. This will be my second time running the LA Marathon and fundraising for FSPH.
The funds raised go towards fellowships for students completing their required summer internship. My internship was at the Los Angeles Fire Department where I worked with businesses on their Hazardous Waste activity. I got to make site visits and perform inspections that taught me how businesses can stay in compliance with regulations. I also got the unique opportunity to work with the EPA on a project to help thousands of agencies locate information on specific chemicals they use. To give back, I am running with Team FSPH once again to support fellow classmates participate in fieldwork experiences this summer and I hope you can join me in helping students take on meaningful opportunities that can make a difference right here in our community!
