My name is Jennifer Pitt and I am a second year MPH Epidemiology student in the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health (FSPH). This March I will be running the LA Big 5K as part of Team FSPH. I'm so proud to be a student in this Public Health program. The Fielding School students have incredibly diverse interests: chronic diseases, infectious diseases, healthcare, maternal wellness, mental health, and beyond. I'm excited to see what we're all going to achieve and I'm so proud to support my fellow students. Your donation will support first-year student fellowships during their required fieldwork this coming summer. Last year, I was an intern at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority. Having funding support allowed me to be a part of the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count team and I was able to fully focus on learning new skills like GIS. The skills I learned there helped to prepare me for my future career and I want the next Fielding School cohort to have the same opportunity with their own internships. Please consider supporting my 5K race by donating to Team FSPH. It's important to me and to you as well. Public health is your health!
