Hello! My name is Amie Eng and I am an alumna from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. I am ecstatic to join Team FSPH for a second time in supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals! I am honored to be a part of a team that is committed to providing firsthand experience to students, allowing them to apply classroom learning into real-world experience and to improve public health locally, domestically, and internationally.
My own summer training experience in 2012 directly led me to my career following graduation. I am currently working at my summer placement and it has been a wonderful 5 years. My work demonstrates how critical summer fieldwork is to our students. This time allows students to grow within the field, academically, emotionally, and professionally.
As a beneficiary of the experience I gained from summer fieldwork, I feel motivated to continue supporting the work of this year's cohort of Fielding school students in the field. I want to express my gratitude for all that this program has offered me, by shaping the path for students to succeed in the field. Not only will these donations support the student experience, your investment will also support organizations and communities that thrive from these students’ projects. The services and ideas that these students develop make significant differences to those in most need.
