On behalf of the entire team, Dean and Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education Patricia Turner is pleased to share the extraordinary success of this special UCLA Spark campaign, which raised much-needed support for financially vulnerable students who normally rely on campus resources for access to technology. 

Within the first 24 hours, the community came together to raise more than $100,000, surpassing the initial donor goals of 250 and 500 participants. This tremendous show of support continued as we surpassed the final goal of 1,000 donors on day 23 of the campaign. With just a few hours left in this Spark campaign, together we have raised $202,388.

The pandemic has upended so many lives, but the collective generosity of our community has been an antidote to uncertainty for 720 (and counting) students, ensuring they can continue their studies effectively in a remote learning environment. We could not be prouder of our UCLA community for coming through for our students. Thank you #bruinstrong

This giving campaign and the pooled resources of deans and administrators across campus have provided more than $760,000 in technology aid to our most vulnerable students faced with remote learning this quarter.
