Thank you!

April 15, 2021

To all of our friends, alumna, and new members of our Bruin family, we cannot thank you enough for your support.

Thanks to your contributions, we now have $76,633 worth of new funds to support us in our progression towards becoming the best team that we can be, and reaching our ultimate goal: winning UCLA's 8th NCAA women's water polo championship.

Please be patient with us as we break down the data and submit orders for your perks -- with just over four weeks left in our season, there is a lot of preparation we need to do to get ready for our USC games next weekend, the conference championship tournament the week after, and if we are lucky enough to secure a bid, the NCAA Championship tournament two weeks after then.

Thank you again, and Go Bruins!

Halfway through conference with 7-1 record

April 06, 2021

With three weekends down and just two more to go in the conference season, UCLA is off to one of its best starts in recent history.

After sweeping Cal to open the conference season, UCLA split a series with Stanford at one game apiece -- both games decided by just one goal. Last Sunday's win over the Cardinal was the first career women's water polo win over Stanford for head coach Adam Wright in his four-year tenure. The effort was led by sophomore attacker Hannah Palmer (pictured) who tallied 2 goals and 1 assist, and freshman Malia Allen who registered a hat trick.

Palmer, Allen, and UCLA were back to sweeping form this past weekend, netting two dominant wins over San Jose State. Allen today claimed her second consecutive conference newcomer of the week award after scoring 6 of the Bruins' 35 goals, while Palmer had 7 of her own.

UCLA enters the last two weekends of conference play with a 5-1 conference record and 7-1 overall record.

March 26, 2021

With still 19 days left in our 30 day campaign, we have successfully unlocked all $25,000 worth of matching funds! Thanks to your support, we are now at an impressive 60% of our fundraising goal.

After a one-week break from action, our team is headed up to Stanford today for a two-game series against the defending national champions. It will be the first time we have seen the Cardinal since the 2019 NCAA Championship tournament... time to see what's new! Go Bruins!

Congratulations UCLA Men's Water Polo!

March 23, 2021

Our brother program just brought home UCLA's 119th NCAA Championship! To do it in a year as hard as this takes a TEAM. To do it against USC in their home pool takes CHAMPIONS. Congratulations.

Number 120 is on deck... our women's program will be hosting this year's NCAA women's water polo championship tournament in our home pool in Westwood. Should we make it, we'll want to make sure we can take care of business ourselves!

We sincerely appreciate your support and we are off to a great start! Go Bruins!

Bruins sweep to open the conference season

March 14, 2021

No. 2 UCLA begun a critical conference stretch of its season this past weekend by registering two wins over No. 6 California.

Saturday's take down came by a score of 11-5, with the Bruins limiting the Bears to only one goal in the second half. Anchored by goalie Georgia Phillips, who recorded 12 saves in cage, UCLA's five goals allowed is tied for its best defensive performance against Cal in head coach Adam Wright's four-year tenure.

The Bruins backed up Saturday's dominant win with a come-from behind 8-7 victory on Sunday, scoring the go-ahead goal with 1:03 remaining in the fourth quarter. Center Ava Johnson led all players with three goals out of center, while goalie Jahmea Bent registered eight saves in cage.

UCLA will take a one-week hiatus from games as the men's water polo team competes in the NCAA Championship Tournament before returning to action on March 27th, when the Bruins will face off against the No. 3 Stanford Cardinal.
