HI BRUIN FAMILY!!

We’re your favorite internet sensation athletic team, UCLA Gymnastics! You may have seen Nia Dennis, Margzetta Frazier, or Katelyn Ohashi grace your social media pages these past couple of years. Each of them has garnered global attention and represents who we are: A team of smart, strong, sensational women competing like champions for their Bruin sisters in ways that inspire nearly 2 million followers around the world. We pride ourselves in the fact that our student-athletes succeed not only in the gym, but also in the classroom and in life. This past year we had the Pac-12 Gymnastics Scholar-Athlete of the year, 8 scholastic All-Americans, 7 student-athletes on the PAC-12 Honor Roll, 2 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar winners, and an AAI Award finalist.

Coming out of a challenging year, your Bruins are steadfastly building a championship culture to propel their pursuit of an 8th NCAA Championship and a 20th Pac-12 Championship. Deep into preparations for our 2022 season, we look forward to your support to build onto the UCLA Gymnastics legacy. 

It's said "it takes a village..." and it takes the support of our Bruin Family to help cultivate the legacy that is UCLA Gymnastics.   Your support will provide crucial fundamentals our Bruins depend on as they work to bring the program to new heights.  There are five critical areas of support we need for us to reach our potential:

To soar to the next level, to pursue championships, to foster the growth of extraordinary women, and to share our story with you in profound ways, we are relying on your generous support.  Your donations will go directly to building the five pillars essential for our success.  The first pillar is the Recovery Protocol.  The physical demands to perform at our very best week after week require sports massage and advanced nutritional support.

The second pillar is our student-athletes’ Equipment needs.  Acquiring a new, technologically advanced floor exercise system is vital to ensure our student-athletes can reduce injury while taking their skills to the next level.  The floor music used by our Bruins is a huge contributing factor to why our routines inspire millions.  Add to the floor music show-stopping leotards, and our Bruins’ choreography comes to life.  With your support, the Bruins will once again deliver legendary routines!

The third pillar, the Champions Program, is about developing champions in life.  With your support, we will provide a proven team of sports psychologists, communication specialists, leadership experts, and enhanced mental health professionals to our student-athletes.  This team of professionals helps to develop the ultimate team player, prepare them to thrive in an NCAA final, provide the tools to manage life’s setbacks, and lead in life after sport. 

The fourth pillar is all about making sure you get to witness up close what it looks and feels like for our women to grow through adversity, build a championship culture, and fly in competition.  The Bruins Inspire Campaign is our video and social media arm that brings our story into your home.  It includes The New Era Documentary Series, video shorts, Bruin Banter, the pre-meet video, the photo shoot, and our social media posts.  We are filled with gratitude to be able to change people’s lives by sharing stories of resilience, confidence, joy, and team-love.  

The final pillar of support is Operations, which ensures that all of our programs are executed seamlessly and that our schedule of opponents sets us up for success. In order to be the best, we must compete against the best.  Your generous support will allow us to fly to the University of Minnesota, the reigning Big 10 Champions, and compete against a tough, non-conference rival.  Whether it's our recruiting, video shoots, travel, home meets, practices, meals, fan and alumni outreach, student athlete housing, or how you’re reading this website right now, operations makes sure it's all getting done right.

With your help last year, we were able to accomplish so much! We also had Pac12 Vault, Bars and Floor champions and an immeasurable amount of personal growth in our student-athletes, thanks in large part to your help. Through our Bruins Inspire Campaign, we were able to connect with so many of you. From Jan 1 - Sept 30 we had 50 million views across Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, 59.9 million impressions on Twitter, and 65.6 million people reached on Facebook!! Our iconic intro video achieved 1.3 million views on it’s own!! 

Through determined effort and personal growth, our team is fiercely building on the UCLA Gymnastics legacy.  With your help, we can make our ceilings our floors and inspire you with our grit, spirited performances, and team-love. The 2021-22 UCLA Gymnastics Team is excited to share with you its unique personalities and athletes who are bound by the simple idea, “ALL IN!”
