Startup UCLA is a student-focused entrepreneurship program at UCLA in web and digital media. This summer, we plan to take our ten teams on a road-trip to showcase UCLA entrepreneurship in the Bay Area. We’ll be doing a road trip to Sand Hill Road to meet with venture capitalists and top-notch entrepreneurs, as well as a stop in the city.
UCLA students have made great strides in entrepreneurship, and this is their chance to show their progress, and learn from some of the best. Entrepreneurs have become younger and younger over the last few years, and this effort will help enable the next generation of innovation and company leaders.
Your money is going directly to support the teams on this road-trip to the Bay Area. Specifically, it will cover transportation costs, as well as room and board for ten teams, and approximately 25 team members over a three day period.
We are excited about sending the entire group to the Bay Area, and are optimistic about our chances to do so. If we are able to raise more than our goal of five thousand dollars, we will then apply all of the proceeds to supporting a student team next summer at our summer accelerator, which cost five thousand dollars over the course of our 10-week program.
The Startup UCLA Accelerator is led by Robert Jadon, who has been involved as an entrepreneur and investor in Los Angeles. As a dedicated alumnus, Robert created the accelerator program in 2012, and is excited about 2013’s new batch of companies.
