Our Crowdfunding Groups
The UCLA Wrestling Team is one of the many student run clubs on campus. We are funded fully by our members and have a competitive and non-competitive club team. We encourage all former wrestlers to come out to practice and even for them to bring a friend so they can learn more about the sport that we love. We not only develop friendships that stretch farther than the deepest half, but we pride ourselves in being active on the mat and off the mat with team building exercises. We have wrestlers join from all levels of experience, we don't let anyone get that escape!
This year, we had our second Battle for the Belt dual meet against our cross town rivals USC. For the second year in a row, we were able to #BeatSC and retain the Victory Belt. After a great performance by our men and women's team, we won the dual 35-12.
History: In 2015, the team president decided that we should make a competitive team. Since then, we have had three successful seasons facing club teams from across the nation. We have had much success as a club: multiple tournament champions, twice we were second in the state of California as a team, three western regional champions and even placing top 20 as a team in our national tournament. We mainly participate in tournaments that are closer to the west coast due to travel expenses and here is how you can help.
With your very generous donations, we will have the funds to travel to tournaments outside of our region. This will not only make us more competitive throughout our season but also spread the message that wrestling in California is alive and PROSPERING.
