UCLA Ventures is a community-driven venture fund, designed to support the UCLA entrepreneurial ecosystem. We do this by focusing on our three main priorities: (1) growing and supporting our community of UCLA-affiliated entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, (2) strengthening our portfolio of pledged and invested assets, and (3) deploying the returns from this portfolio to impact UCLA’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
This year, we choose to support Startup UCLA's activities and ask that you help us in this effort. For every dollar you donate, we will match it up to $25,000! If we can reach our goal, Startup UCLA will receive a total of $50,000 to help fund its annual activities.
Startup UCLA was established in 2012 with a mission to foster the development of UCLA entrepreneurs. They do that through offering free consulting, office space, and introductions to a network of mentors to any and all matriculated UCLA students, alumni, staff, and faculty. Startup UCLA regularly holds workshops and fireside chats that are open to the former as well as the public at large.
The most well-known offering is the Startup UCLA Summer Accelerator, the first Summer Accelerator for UCLA students/young alumni to develop their tech-startups during a ten-week highly intensive program. The startups are provided with co-working space on UCLA’s campus, a $5,000 stipend, legal guidance, dedicated mentorship from our experienced staff, skill workshops led by industry experts, and introductions to top-tier entrepreneurs and investors.
The Accelerator teams travel to the Bay Area for a tour of Venture Capital firms and startup entrepreneurs, making valuable connections while getting constructive feedback on their pitches from industry professionals. These trips are instrumental in preparing these young entrepreneurs for raising venture capital.

Helps support UCLA Entrepreneurship, your gift of $50 will provide Startup UCLA with $100 to fund programming, networking opportunities and much more!
Your gift of $100 allows a UCLA student to explore entrepreneurship through one of the many events Startup UCLA holds year-round, such as hands-on workshops, speaker series and pitch & networking events.
A gift of $250 will encourage a UCLA student to pursue an internship at Startup UCLA.
Your gift of $500 will fund a Fireside Chat in which investors and entrepreneurs are invited to speak to students and the broader community.
Your gift of $1,000 will support a member of a Startup UCLA Accelerator Team. Because UCLA Ventures is matching your gift, you will have the opportunity to support two members of a Startup UCLA Accelerator Team.
Each year, the Startup UCLA Summer Accelerator hosts 10 teams on a 10-week program which includes a $5,000 stipend. Because we are matching it, your gift will provide a stipend for not just one, but TWO teams as they grow and incubate their startups!
