My name is Jennifer Pitt and I am a first year MPH student in the Epidemiology department at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. I am so excited to be a member of Team FSPH! Our goal is to raise money for student fellowships for fieldwork this coming summer. Though this is my first time participating in the LA Marathon, I have been running for several years and have run 5Ks, 10Ks and half marathons. Running is a great way for me to de-stress and I love knowing I'm also doing something to benefit my health. A healthy lifestyle is important to me and I feel that everyone should have access to activities, foods, and medical care that will allow them to live their best life. The work that students of FSPH will do is going to support this idea, and a summer internship is a great opportunity to start making a difference. Funding is imperative for students to be able to take part in internships and focus on their work, without having to worry about financial burdens. Please help support the students of FSPH as we continue to strive toward our goals!
